Parish Council Reply – Extraordinary meeting held 18th May 2010. PC objected.
The appearance of the buildings is not in keeping with the location being opposite 11th Century church and the old school and school house. We strongly object to the glass gable ends which are out of place, and a striking feature, not mentioned in the design statement, they are contradictory to para 5, which claims no overlooking of neighbouring plots. The PC conceded that this planning application incorporating the use of natural slate being used in place of blue slate tiles and the use of less cladding improves the aesthetics of the development.
