Blewbury Women’s Institute meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month in Blewbury School at 7.30pm.
As well as the regular meetings with interesting speakers, we organise trips to the theatre, guided walks, lunches, garden visits and craft workshops.
We always welcome new ideas, and suggestions for things to do, and places to visit.
Every August we have a garden party in a member’s garden, more recently “Tea and Mince Pie” morning nearer Christmas time. We have an informal Mah Jong and Scrabble group which meet regularly throughout the year. A small walking group takes easy rambles in the nearby countryside. All groups are very informal.
Full membership costs £34.70 (2014) per year; this includes entry to our monthly meetings. Members receive a free, lifestyle magazine “WI Life” 8 times a year which includes articles on current issues, news, and people in the media, travel, fashion, cookery, crafts and offers.
You don’t have to be a member to come along, our meetings are open to everyone, and we are a very friendly group…
If you would like to join us and want to come along with somebody for the first time, please do not hesitate to call. Look out for us on Facebook Blewbury WI… for photos/information of recent outings.
