Oxfordshire Highways will close some roads overnight in November as work to build a road through the centre of the Headington Roundabout draws to a close.
Work to start surfacing the roundabout to its final profile is one of the last big jobs to be completed in the scheme which is aimed at improving the flow of traffic at this key junction. The scheme involves routing the westbound carriageway of the A40 through the centre of the roundabout – hence the name hamburger.
A detailed timetable is shown below. The scheme as a whole is still on schedule to finish on time in early December.
