Parish Council Reply – Extraordinary PC meeting held 19th April 2010 – no objections. The comment that in the PC’s view, the appearance of the property would be improved with fewer windows on the 1st floor to be conveyed to the Vale.
District Council Decision –
Vale permitted the development with conditions:
1. The development to which this permission relates shall be begun within a period of 3 years from the date of this permission.
2. The development shall be built using only the external materials specified on the forms and/or shown on the approved drawings the subject of this planning permission, unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Local Planning Authority.
3. Prior to the commencement of the development hereby permitted, full details of the foundations of the side extension shall be submitted to, and approved in writing, by the District Planning Authority. The development shall be carried out only on accordance with the approved details.
The reasons for the Council’s decision to grant permission for the development subject to compliance with the conditions herein before specified are:
- To comply with the requirements of Section 91 of the Town & Country Planning Act 1990.
- In the interest of visual amenity (Policy DC1 of the adopted Local Plan)
- To prevent damage to the birch tree roots adjacent to the structure.

All drawings and other hard copy documents connected with the above application will be destroyed after 3 years.
