Tea Birds WI meet on the last Tuesday of every month January – November at Upton Village Hall from 8.00pm. We are a group of ladies of all ages from all over the local area who come together to enjoy all the wonderful things WI has to offer.  We are a laid back bunch and welcome anyone to come and give us a try and see if the group is for you. The kettle is always on and there is always cake!

Our 27th February meeting will be a talk from Becky Loveless of Autism Family Support.

Tea Birds to make a Fascinator

April 24, 2017

Tea Birds meet on the last Tuesday of every month at 8.00pm at Upton Village Hall.  Our 30th May meeting will be ‘Make a Fascinator’.  If you would like to attend this meeting, please contact Tea Birds before 17 May to confirm as we need to know the numbers to order the materials.  There will be a non-member voluntary contribution fee of £7 at this meeting.

If you can’t attend our May meeting – our June  meeting will be on the Tuesday 27th.  Our theme will be an ‘Introduction to Yoga’.

Tea Birds WI go Christmas Crafting

Festive CraftingOn Tuesday 26 November the Tea Birds WI, Upton held their final meeting of the year. This meeting welcomed ‘No Two Things’ who are a Didcot based artisan outlet, the ladies (a mixture of members and guests) got into the festive spirit and enjoyed an evening of Christmas crafting.

The Tea Birds have gained a strong following since they set up in March 2013. Meetings are held on the last Tuesday of every month at Upton Village Hall and have gained popularity with ladies based locally and in the surrounding area. The Tea Bird WI have had a packed year of activities which have included a summer fete, card making, basic car mechanics course, a wine and cheese evening and a speaker from the Oxford gardening project.

The group are keen to welcome new members. The 2014 calendar has a selection of activities from traditional to modern. The New Year meeting kicks off with a sewing class by ‘Shelbee Sewing’ and the group will be making aprons; this will be held at 8pm on Tuesday 28th January 2014.
