Village of the Year Result
Upton is judged to be the second best village in the Vale of White Horse District.
Village of the Year – Meeting the Judges
The village sent three representatives to Kennington Village Hall on Saturday 18th August to meet with and present our village to the judges of the Oxfordshire Village of the Year competition. The result will be announced on October 3rd.
Village Tea Party
A Village Tea Party for the older residents of the village was held on Friday 18th August at Toad Hall.
Upton On Show
The Village was on show at the Village of The Year Competition yesterday.
Improvements to the Recreation Ground
Recent improvements to the Recreation Ground have seen the installation of new Goalposts and a Ballwall and the installation of a Sprung Rocker in the children’s playground.
Upton Shortlisted
Upton has entered the Oxfordshire Village of the Year Competition and been shortlisted.
Village Fete Update
An update of information on the VILLAGE FETE.
The VILLAGE FETE will be held on Saturday September 1st at 2.00 pm at the Village Hall and recreation ground.
Come and help make this a memorable afternoon, enjoy the social occasion while helping to raise funds for our lovely village church. Donations to any of the stalls TWO WEEKS before would be welcome in particular.

Tea Party
Friday 17 August – 2.30 – Tea party for elderly folk in the garden of Toad Hall, by kind invitation of Austin and Margaret Maytham.
Village Family Picnic
The inaugural Upton Family Picnic went ahead on Sunday 24 June despite the persistent rain.
